What Ingredients are used in the recipes?

We work with a veterinarian nutritionist to develop fresh recipes that not only meet AAFCO standards but also OUR standards. Not only do our own dogs taste test our recipes, but SO DO WE! We are human and pup approved! We use only ingredients that you can pronounce and actually identify. We also use a limited number of fresh and sustainably sourced ingredients that are grown in the USA only. Our proteins are sourced from Colorado-based ranches and our vegetables and starches are sourced as close to Colorado as possible based on seasonal availability.

Do your recipes meet AAFCO standards? How are the recipes prepared?

Not only are our recipes formulated according to AAFCO standards but they are also crafted with love in Colorado, using only whole food ingredients. Our small batch and gently cooked recipes are made in a human-grade kitchen. We are non-GMO, organic when possible and promise there are NEVER any additives ever. So, yes. We go above and beyond because our four-legged besties are worth it… plus some!

Where can I go for veterinarian nutritional support or questions regarding my dog’s feeding plan?

How much does the food cost?

We hope that all dogs can eat healthy and high quality food. That is why we have focused on staying at least 10% below the cost of other brands AND 10% higher quality (at least). Can you tell me about Shipping and Denver home delivery?

Yes! We are now shipping across the U.S. and also offer DENVER area local delivery. Our products will always arrive at your home on a weekday. We don’t want your fresh dog food order to sit on your porch over the weekend! SHIPPING - We happily ship across the U.S. with both UPS and FedEx Mondays through Wednesdays. Once your order ships, you can expect it within 2 days. Standard shipping costs vary throughout the country but range from $15-$25. We don’t ship to Hawaii or Alaska… YET! COLORADO HOME DELIVERY - We offer a standard delivery for $7 for select Denver zip codes.

How flexible is the subscription if I choose to activate?

We ensure that just because you signed up for a subscription does not mean that you will get something that you DID NOT WANT when you DID NOT WANT IT. We will send you reminders via email prior to your order so you can alter your ship dates if needed! You can also “turn off” your subscription very easily. There are no smoke and mirrors here! What can be expected about receiving and unboxing the food?

Our dog food is packed tight with Recycle #1 insulation and reusable ice packs. While we hope that your food arrives FROZEN, we know that during the warmer months, it may not. We suggest keeping one or two trays out of the freezer (depending on your pup’s feeding schedule) and freezing the rest as soon as your box arrives. Our doggie food trays will stay “good” for up to 5 days in your refrigerator and up to 6 months in your freezer. ALSO! If you aren’t home when they arrive, DON’T WORRY! We designed our packaging with the flexibility of your box sitting on your doorstep for you for up to 12 hours. We will NEVER ship you a box when you don’t need it or don’t want it, either.
